When & Where

Venue

This year's conference will be held at Windsor Racecourse from the morning of Friday 29th October 2010 until the evening of Saturday 30th October 2010.  

Windsor is located just 30 miles west of London and only 15 minutes drive away from London Heathrow Airport. Luton and Gatwick Airports are also just one hour away by car. Windsor has good public transport links and is also easily accessible via major motorways, namely the M3, M4, M25 and M40.

Driving 

From the M4

Take Junction 6 off the M4, which is situated 24 miles from London, 26 miles from Reading and 90 miles from Bristol and South Wales. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit for Windsor A322. Continue forward on the A322. Branch left, then at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A308 signposted Maidenhead. You will pass a BP garage on your right. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A308. Windsor Racecourse will be on your left shortly afterwards.

From the M25

Take Junction 13 off the M25 then merge onto the A30. At the roundabout take the 4th exit onto the A30 signposted S. Bagshot. Keep in the left hand lane to continue with the A30 towards Bagshot and Windsor. At the Runnymede roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A308 for Windsor. At the next two roundabouts, take the 2nd exit signposted A308 Windsor and Slough. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit. Continue forward onto the A332 Osborne Road. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit. You will see King Edward VIII Hospital on your left. At the traffic lights carry straight onto Alma Road. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto Goslar Way singposted Maidenhead/Slough. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A308 signposted M4, Slough, Eton. Then immediately branch left, following the signpost for Maidenhead. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A308 signposted Maidenhead. You will pass a BP garage on your right. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A308. Windsor Racecourse will be on your left shortly afterwards.  

  

Airports

London Heathrow Airport

Windsor is conveniently situated just 12 miles from London Heathrow Airport. It is possible to take the 77 Bus from Heathrow Terminal 5 straight to Windsor Town Centre. (The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.) There is a free shuttle service from the Central Bus Station to Terminal 5. Please see here for further bus route details.

London Gatwick Airport

To get to Windsor from Gatwick Airport, take the train to Clapham Junction. From there, take a train to Windsor and Eton Riverside. (The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours.) Please see here for further train information.

Alternatively, take the National Express connecting service to Heathrow Airport, then the Bus 77 to Windsor Town Centre. Please see here for further bus route details.

London Stansted Airport

To get to Windsor from Stansted Airport, take the Stansted Express train to Liverpool Street Station, then the Circle Line underground train to London Paddington station. From there, take a train to Slough where there is a connecting service to Windsor and Eton Central station, which will take you right into the heart of the town. 

Alternatively, take the National Express coach service to London Victoria and then the Green Line 702 bus service to Windsor Town Centre.

London Luton Airport

From London Luton Airport, take the Greenline 757 bus service to London Victoria, then the Greenline 702 service to Windsor Town Centre. For more bus information, see here.

London City Airport

From London City Airport, take the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Canning Town. From there, take the Jubilee Line underground train to London Waterloo. From London Waterloo, take the direct train service to Windsor and Eton Riverside Station. Please see here for further train information, or see here for London Underground Train information.

Trains

Windsor has two train stations: Windsor and Eton Central and Windsor and Eton Riverside.  First Great Western operates from London Paddington to Windsor and Eton Central station, involving one change at Slough. The minimum journey time is 25 minutes.  A frequent connecting service runs between Slough and Windsor.  Please see here for the full timetable for the London Paddington to Windsor service via Slough.

South West Trains operates a direct service from London Waterloo to Windsor and Eton Riverside station.  Journey time is approximately 55 minutes. Please see here for the full timetable.
